Fortunately, the base team was incredibly supportive and guided us through fixing the issue ourselves via WhatsApp, showcasing their dedication to customer service. However, it's important to note that the marina does not offer toilet or shower facilities, and docking can be a bit challenging due to only having a pier on one side. Maneuvering the yacht back in varying wind directions requires some skill. Additionally, there are stairs leading from street level to the pier, which means that groceries need to be carried manually to the yacht since you can't roll shopping baskets down. Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience was enjoyable and the good value is undeniable.

Considering its age, it was in perfectly acceptable condition, and we found it quite satisfactory for our needs. Our overall journey was smooth, with the yacht's quality meeting our expectations. The pick-up process was straightforward, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The marina was well-organized, creating a positive start to our adventure. In terms of value, we felt it was just right, providing us with a great sailing experience that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Our experience with the yacht charter was generally positive, particularly due to the outstanding skills of our skipper, Dimitris. His expertise greatly enhanced our journey. However, we did encounter some unexpected last-minute expenses, which could have been communicated more clearly upfront. For instance, it would have been helpful to have detailed information on the €1800 arrival fee, the daily marina docking charges, the skipper’s daily meal allowance, and an estimate of refueling costs readily available and not just mentioned in the fine print. Having already invested around AUD10K, discovering these additional fees upon arrival felt somewhat disheartening and gave rise to feelings of mistrust towards the organizing company. Despite these concerns, the overall quality of the yacht was excellent, and while certain aspects of the logistical arrangements could be improved, the overall experience was quite enjoyable. Caveat emptor, as they say; it's always worth ensuring full transparency in future dealings to avoid any feelings of being let down.
